Pet Shop Boys to play Athens Ejekt Festival

The British Duo will visit Greece in mid-July

British electro-pop duo Pet Shop Boys headline this year's Ejekt Festival to be held in Faliro on July 16

(Reuters) (Reuters) Electro-pop sensation Pet Shop Boys will headline this year’s Ejekt Festival, which will kick off on July 16 in the northern Athens suburb of Faliro.

The British duo will visit Greece as part of their “Electric Tour 2013”, featuring their latest hits as well as 80s classics such as “It’s a sin”, “West end girls” and “Domino dancing”.

The band is expected to release their new album, entitled “Electric”, within the next couple of months.

Ejekt festival, held annually since 2005, has in the past welcomed numerous internationally acclaimed musicians like The Chemical Brothers, New Order, Moby, James, Kasabian, etc.

The first 1,000 tickets for this year’s festival are available online at the price of 30 euros. More names are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
