Extension to online submission of tax returns

Start of submission of 2013 tax returns delayed due to technical problems

With everyone obliged to submit tax returns online this year, regardless of age or profession, the government has announced a delay to the start of submissions due to technical problems

The commencement of the online submission of 2013 tax returns has been delayed for a number of days due to technical problems.

With all taxpayers this year obliged to submit their tax return online, regardless of age or profession, the government has said that the electronic platform for inputting E1 tax form details is not yet ready.

Those who have not yet obtained their pass code, which is needed to unlock personal tax forms and information online, can apply for the number from the general secretariat for information systems website

However, they will then need to visit their local tax office to retrieve the code before completing the registration process online.
